main hip pin after complete removal

Here is the main hip rotator pin after removal from both the head piece and the clutch mechanism. You can see the spring steel collar on the right half of the shaft, there were 3 of these inside the clutch disc secured with some sort of epoxy or resin. These keep tension on the pin so it will not rotate freely, but instead give friction while turning. The pin snapped at its narrow point just before the head piece.
