Just the skirt....

The bodice in the first photos was actually an afterthought, and an unfinished afterthought at that. My major concern today was with the skirt, and I had to figure how to get that soft-and-swirly look.

I saved myself some trouble by using the selvedge as the skirt's hem. But I built-in some extra trouble, because I decided that box-pleats would be the best way to get that look. Maybe I should have taken some pictures while I was pinning them ... they say haute couture is based on staking infinite pins....
