A 3/8" plated washer and M10 nyloc nut hold the assembly together

Tighten the nut until the shaft is almost impossible to turn by hand, then tighten a further 10 degrees or so of movement. This will simulate the tension of the original joint. Test once fitted to ensure that movment of the leg is smooth and not too tight.
